The Core is home of the Sea Dragons swim team for all ages.  The team is now practicing year-round except in December.    Through the months of June and July, the team travels to swim meets in south central Kentucky and middle Tennessee.  Swimmers can attend all meets or just a few. Dates for the meets will be announced after the coaches’ meetings with the swim leagues.

  • We don’t have an official team suit- our colors are green and black- swimmer are encouraged but not required to wear a green suit to meets, but anything is fine for practice (1 piece suits recommended for girls)

Who can join?

  • Passing the swim test is the only requirement. Coaches will teach the strokes, diving, flip turns, etc. However, swimmers should be able to swim (with short breaks) for an hour and be able to listen to the coaches and take direction in order to improve. Children who have just learned to swim well enough to pass the swim test should are encouraged to take intermediate swim lessons prior to joining swim team.
